Universal - Houdaille - TSD Acura-Ream Positive Drive Collets
|
An Acura-Ream Collet is the same as a Acura-Tap collet except the bores (and drive slots) are sized for Reamer shanks (and tangs) instead of Tap shanks (and drive squares). They mount in Acura-Tap chucks using Acura-Tap Nuts. Until I recently aquired 2 Acura-Ream collets, I did not know they existed and have not been able to find any information about them. The only info I have is gleaned from the actual collets I have. I assume that they were made in all 3 capacity sizes (1/2", 7/8" and 1-1/2") and in many more bore sizes then the 2 I have. If you have any more info please share with the rest of us.
